Today we ventured off to Scotland. We left the manor at 8am for our 6-hour buss trip to Scotland. The trip was long but it was broken up by our halfway stop to Durham Cathedral. The Cathedral was really a sight to see. But it was kind of a disappointment because we were not aloud to take pictures inside. One interesting fact we learned while on our visit was they actually filmed part of Harry Potter movie there. We just wondered around the Cathedral fro a while and saw all there was to see we decided to go shopping my favorite thing to do. Although we did not buy anything I discovered shoe haven. A floor dedicated to my favorite things it coved a wall-to-wall span of the most beautiful shoes. I did not want to leave but we had to make our way back to the buss and get to Scotland.
We got back on the buss and trucked through the poring rain towards our hotel. We had to unload on the opposite side of the street and walk to our hotel, since there was a lot of construction going on. Once inside we checked in and made our way to our room, which is probably as big as are dorm rooms at FSC. So you can imagine that they are not the biggest hotel rooms but it would do for the two nights we were there. We took some time to relax a little bit and then we hit the streets fro some shopping and dinner. It was almost 6 when we started our shopping adventure so stores were closing and we were only able to make it to Top Shop and H&M. Still no luck on my perches but I am hoping that tomorrow will be better. Now it is raining really hard and the wind is blowing making the rain whip and actually break Chelsea’s umbrella. We are all really hungry and no one can make up their mind where they want to eat. We finally make our way to a restaurant and have a great meal. By the time we finished the rain had lightened up but it was still freezing. We made or way back to the hotel to go and get ready for out first night out in Scotland.
When we got back we all got ready and went to a bar/club that was 4 floors. Two of the floors were bar types atmospheres and the other two floors were clubs. We stayed on the club floor for most of the night. The club was a lot of fun they played a lot of music that we all new the words too and we danced the night away.
One thing that we were not prepared for where the people we were going to encounter that night. There were a lot of interesting people out that night. The guys were either really open with their sexuality, gay or just really really drunk the whole night. Lets just say that we saw a lot of Scotland that night. It was a great way to start our trip off especially since we were all together taking Scotland by storm.
