After our trip to Coventry we got back on the buss and made or way to Stratford. It was here that we were able to see where Shakespeare was buried and also where he lived. His burial sight was a sight to see not only was he buried there but all of his family was also laid to rest right next to him. Along with his grave sight there are also many important artifacts that belonged to him on display. After we saw where he was laid to rest we moved on to where he lived. His house is as old as they come right in the middle of all the shops. Some of the people went in to see what it looked like but I was very content just taking pictures outside of it and then going shopping. Although it was a little bit of a let down that the shops were not that great.
After the rest of our group finally came out of their tour we made our way back to the center of town to go get some food before we had to meet up with everyone to go see the play A Winters Tale. This was our first time eating outside of the manor so we had very high expectations. We ate at this little restaurant called Encore and it had such a great menu. I am very into trying new food on this trip since most of the stuff we eat here we cant get back home in America. So I tried this pasta dish called Papapadello. I didn’t really know what I ordered except it was some kind of pasta but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Papapadello is really fat pasta noodles in a marinara sauce with sausage. It was by far the best food I have had since I have been here.
After we finished up our meal and paid, we went to meet everyone to go the play. We saw A Winters Tale. I never have read the play so I was going into the theater not knowing what the story line was but I was able to catch on very quickly. The play was not what I expected at all the first act I felt was a little boring and dull while the second act defiantly caught my attention with a lot of the action and love story. But at the end of the show I was really glade that I was able to see the play. It defiantly added to the whole experience of this trip.
