Today our class decided to take a class field trip to Lincoln we had to get up really early and take the buss over to town and walk to the train station. Our 2 train rides were not that long and we finally made it to Lincoln. If you picked up a storybook and looked at what old England would look like that is was this town was like. It was amazing. They had cobble stone roads and stores right up next to each other, the roads were tight and narrow and hilly. When we arrived we all decided that it would be in the best interest of the group to go shopping first. We walked around in the market and in all the cute shops until Courtney and I spotted the mall. It was like it was calling to us from a distance. The stores were so cute, although I have decided that some English fashion really does not fit me all to well. We only had an hour so by the time we scoped out the mall we had to go back and meet up with the class. By then we were all hungry and it was time for lunch we found this bar that was exactly like the goose back in Grantham and had a pretty decent meal although the people who work there are extremely rude. It’s a good thing we did not have to tip the b/c I am sure they would not have gotten the best tip from us.

After we finished our meal we started the walk up the largest hill ever towards the castle. We got our tickets and ventured in, to be honest this was not the best castle I have ever seen. The magna carat was on display and the castle was turned into a prison so there were a lot of displays about that. The one cool part about the castle was that you could go up the castle wall and see all over Lincoln but besides that the castle was kind of a drab but still good to see. It started to rain so we headed out of there and made our way back to the train we stopped at some shops along the way. Pretty much every candy store in sight so Dakota and Rachel could get candy and some clothing stores too. But the lines were so long we could not buy anything because we were afraid we would miss our train. That was rather upsetting to because I found the cutest bathing suite ever I am totally going to be on the look out for that store again because I will get that bathing suite before I leave England. But all and all it was a really great day at least we were out of the classroom.
