May 9, 2009 Paris

We woke up at 9 to start our first day of sight seeing in Paris. Our first stop was the Louvre where we got to see the Mona Lisa and tons of other famous pieces of art. We were even able to see part of Napoleons palace and the crown jewels. I was in awe the whole time. There where even people in there painting their own version of these paintings that looked like an exact replica of the original. After we finish wondering around the Louvre we headed over to the Arc de Triomphe, it was huge. Danni and I walked underneath the road to go through it. It was defiantly a sight to see. After we meet up with the other girls on the Champs-Elysées, which is Paris’s 5th avenue. This was my dream street we found the Louis Vuitton store, Chanel, Tiffany and Co., Dior the list goes on and on. One day when I am rich I am going to be able to go shopping on this street.

Our next stop was the Eiffel Tower again but his time we were going to go all the way up. As we are standing in line for tickets it starts pouring and none of us have an umbrella. We finally make it through the line and start our long climb. We probably climb close to a thousand stairs but we made it to the second floor where we had to buy another ticket to take the elevator to the top. But we did not care about spending the money, we were just happy that we did not have to climb any more stairs. The top of the Eiffel Tower is beautiful we were able to see all of Paris and it was breathtaking. The worst part of our visit to the Eiffel Tower was when we realized tat once we took the elevator back down we still had to climb all the stairs to the ground but we made it wet and tired but we did it.

Now it time for some serious shopping. We were done with seeing things and we had money to burn. But we soon learned that Paris sells very ritzy designer things that we cant afford or really crappy tourist things that we can afford but don’t want to waste our money on. So to make up for our lack of shopping we decided to go eat. We had our heart set on going to the Hard Rock Café so we ask the door man at one of the hotels how to get there but he only spoke French so we took what we could figure our and started walking. We ended up getting completely lost and had to ask two more people how to get there but we finally made it.  We had some good old American food and some great drinks it was defiantly a great way to end our very busy day.
