Today we went to the ruins of the Coventry Cathedral. It was amazing to think that a cathedral like that was once was a place that people went to be closer to God. The cathedral was all open and the walls were all broken down. After we spent some time there exploring we went wondering around and discovered another church not to far away. This was probably my favorite part of our whole outing. Not only was this church breathing taking, but I defiantly felt closer to God in there. In the church there were people all over praying. All of us decided that it would be a good idea if we said a little prayer too before we left. When one of the Church Clergy men saw what we were doing, he came up to us and took us to the side of the church were they had prayer candles. He let each one of us light one of the prayer candles for someone we love or had lost. I light a candle for my grandfather who passed away last year. This was probably one the most moving experiences in my life and I am so happy that I was able to do it.
